Who is Global Mission?

After 20 years of founding and developing Teen Challenge of Idaho, God birthed in the hearts of Pastors/Missionaries Al and Helen Cambra an expanded vision beyond what they have been doing in Teen Challenge. God has given them new directors to take over the work of the past 20 years to release them to pursue and develop the Global Mission Ministry Center.

God has been speaking to them since the early 90’s that they would be traveling and training.

In 1998 the first door opened to travel to Guatemala for the first time. The first two trips were as part of a team. Each year since, has been able to lead and develop teams for ministry. God is using and equipping ordinary people to go and do extraordinary things.

Their National Home Mission assignment was changed from Teen Challenge to Intercultural Home Missionaries with the Assemblies of God. Al and Helen have been part of the Associate Pastoral staff with Central Assembly Christian Life Center since 1980. Helen has traveled into Mexico, Guatemala, Russia – Siberia, Romania and Holland.

What is Global Mission: 

Global Mission is a ministry to restore, equip and release individuals for ministry according to Ephesians 4:12 in the local church and in the world. Fulfilling the call, “Go Ye”!

Global Mission acts as a catalyst and covering for the development of new ministries.

What are Global Mission’s Goals:

Global Mission exists:

• to inform, to train and to send.
• to connect churches and individuals with Ministry and training opportunities.
• to promote better missions and missionary awareness with the churches for short term missions training and sending opportunities

Where is Global Mission located?

The office is relocated in Central Assembly Christian Life Center in Boise, Idaho. Which provides the 501c covering in this missions outreach ministry.

When did Global Mission begin?

The late 1990's saw new and exciting doors begin to open abroad for Global Missions and the vision began to birth teams to begin traveling to Guatemala and other parts of the globe in the 1998. Since then, Team Guatemala, in association with Extreme Ministries International (based in Antigua, Guatemala), has been reaching out to some very extreme parts of this tiny little Central American country.

Why was Global Mission formed?

Their passion has been to see each person sitting on the pew of our churches be equipped and released into the divine destiny that God has given them. To put tools and opportunity in their hands and give them permission to respond to the call to GO!

Acts 1:8 states:

“we will be witness in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.”

How does Global Mission operate?

They, along with additional team members, prepare and equip teams and individuals by providing opportunities to learn and serve with whatever they have in their hands - and with an effective anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Global Mission promotes short-term mission trips into Guatemala and other open doors. Current short-term missions are planned for Guatemala with the next outreach scheduled for late January.

And they remain open to other open doors of opportunity.
